Petron Scientech and Mitsui & Co. (USA) to jointly explore bio-based ethylene for Bio-PET

Petron Scientech (PSI), a pioneer and global licensor of low-carbon-intensity, energy-efficient ethanol-to-ethylene technology, signed a memorandum of understanding with Mitsui & Co. (USA), Inc. to jointly explore the development of bio-based ethylene infrastructure to manufacture renewable PET (Bio-PET).

The collaboration pairs Petron’s renewable-ethylene platform with Mitsui’s global reach to help advance fossil-free packaging materials.
