Petron Scientech Inc. (PSI) is a global leader in technologies to produce ethanol from first- and second-generation feedstocks, and to convert renewable ethanol into bio-ethylene, bio and renewable fuels, and a range of important chemical building blocks. With 100+ global patents, and more in development, Petron has established itself as a worldwide leader in sustainable, low-carbon technologies.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, Petron, with its affiliates BioChem USA and Sustainable Technology Corporation (STC), develops, licenses, and helps build integrated biorefineries around the world, with offices in Lisbon, Portugal and India.

Building & operating biorefineries
Petron, BioChem USA, and STC are leading the path to a greener future by developing integrated biorefineries that supplement petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants with sustainable alternatives.
These biorefineries use feedstocks from non-edible fuel-grade grains, sugarcane, and agricultural waste such as corn stover and sugarcane bagasse, plus woody materials like softwood chips and eucalyptus, producing cellulosic and advanced biofuels, improved ethanol, and co-products including beverage-grade CO₂, corn oil, cellulosic sugars, high-protein meal, lignin, and renewable gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.
