Across renewable ethylene, bio-glycols, maleic anhydride, cellulosic ethanol, and sustainable aviation fuel, Petron's licensable technologies are protected by granted and pending patents and decades of process know-how. Licensing partners gain a protected technology package, catalyst, process design, and engineering, not just a concept.
Technologies in development
Petron's R&D pipeline extends the platform into new molecules. A current focus is bio-butadiene, a one-step ethanol-to-butadiene route to renewable butadiene for synthetic rubber and polymers, as a drop-in replacement for the fossil-based product with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
IP ownership & structure
Petron's intellectual property is held within the Petron Scientech group. A detailed ownership and licensing structure is available to qualified counterparties under NDA.
